New President, New Hope

Today was the inauguration. It was and wasn't the usual ceremony. Nevertheless, whatever your party, or no party, the message of unity was one filled with hope. Hope that middle ground can be found. Hope that we can get past this pandemic but never forget those we lost to it and the great cost. Hope that we can end systemic racism and hate and foster kindness and respect. Hope that we can save the environment and our wonderful resources. Hope that we can afford to take care of our health. Hope that we can earn a living wage to support ourselves, our families with a clean and safe place to live and food to feed our family. Hope that America will see its immigrants as her own. Hope that we can all join together as Americans and work together toward these common goals.

It's a lot to ask.

But, we have so many great minds and ideas. If people would be open to listen with open minds, consider other options, look at all the alternatives and, instead of arguing, figure out how to make the ideas happen. Instead of talking and talking, take action.

I see hope for all of this. It is possible. I love possibilities. I love having hope.

I hope our country's leaders follow through. I hope they bridge divides and find common goals and inspire our government to be brave and strong in their commitment to make America great.
